About The Author
Thom Polvogt
Thomas “Thom” Polvogt is a Christian author, storyteller, mentor, and lifelong student of the Bible and Christian worldview. His faith in God has shaped every season of his life, guiding him through ministry, business, family, and his journey as a writer.
Before becoming an author, Thom served in ministry for approximately thirteen years before building a successful insurance agency that he owned for nearly three decades. After selling his business in 2022, he embraced a new chapter focused on storytelling, inspired by his children and grandchildren to share the stories and lessons he had carried throughout his life.
His novels, including Joseph’s Stepfather, Possum Scale, Cold Blooded Justice, and Cold Blooded Friendship, explore faith, friendship, relationships, and the challenges that shape who we become. Through memorable characters and meaningful journeys, Thom seeks to remind readers of the importance of loyalty, encouragement, compassion, and the connections that make life meaningful.
A graduate of Colorado Christian University with a master’s degree in psychology from the University of Colorado, Thom also holds several professional insurance designations, including CLU, ChFC, CFP, RHU, and LUTCF. He is a Colson Fellow and has served in leadership roles teaching Biblical Worldviews.
Family remains at the heart of Thom’s life. He was married to his beloved wife for more than fifty-five years before her passing in 2024. He is the proud father of four daughters, seventeen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Today, he continues writing, mentoring, studying Scripture, and encouraging others through his faith and life experiences.
When he is not writing, Thom enjoys time with family and friends, church activities, Bible study, and riding his 2024 Honda GoldWing motorcycle. His life verse, Colossians 2:6–7, reflects his desire to remain rooted in Christ, growing in faith, and living with gratitude
